Today Yr 12 have been working on an Innovation Challenge where they had to create a product that would display their name and their favorite hobby. Here is what they made.

Brainstorming Ideas

Here are some year 11 pupils working in groups to generate ideas.

A dozen ideas are created in only 10 minutes - they were surprised at how much fun it was and how many ideas they could produce.

Yr 12 Isometric Drawing

Yr 12 have been learning how to draw in isometric this week. The drawings below are some examples of how they have been getting on. As the year progresses I am sure they are going to go from strength to strength.

GCSE RMT students start

1st October and Mr Mistry's GCSE Resistant Materials class have finally start the making of their practical work. They should create some good things this year. The project range from coffee tables, cookbook stands to curvy furniture. They have 4 months in which to complete there project. Keep viewing for updates on how their work progresses.

Yr 7 Electronics

Today Year 7 started practical work on their Steady Hand Games. They used a variety of machines to create their cases and circuit boards.

Manufacturing Challenge

It's boys v girls in the AS group this week as they work in teams to make 30 sets of puzzles.

The challenge is a chance for them to learn more about batch production methods. They must assign roles, perform quality checks and work together.

If they can pull it off then it's off to the junior school to see which team sells the most!

Year 6 Taster Day

Groups of year 6 pupils had a taste of senior school today. Two groups came down to DT where they made monstrous picture holders!
